After taking a career break, BlueCrab Studio was set up in early 2016 incorporating my passion for fabrics and textiles, paired with a love of mid-century and modern design - creating truly unique pieces.  As a trained Fashion Designer working in Brand Marketing I was missing the hands-on creativeness of working with fabric, and decided to pursue a new direction.  After studying at the Ministry of Upholstery, BlueCrab focusses on modern upholstery exploring simple, mid-century influenced designs.  

 

After designing a range of handmade benches and unique soft furnishing items, my upholstery has branched out to include commissions, bespoke pieces and furnishings for cafes and studios.​

Previously based in Manchester, I've recently relocated back to my home town of Leicester where you will find me in the workshop drinking tea, at the sewing machine creating unique fabrics, or wrangling the mini apprentices (baby and toddler)
